The employability and skills agenda is a top government priority. Having a skilled and qualified workforce can make a major contribution to business survival, success and productivity. Yet training and development often require a significant investment of both time and money to achieve successful outcomes.
We work with a wide range of organisations, both in the public and private domain, to improve the learning and skills of their workforce and to raise standards across the UK.
We work closely with employers, education providers, private training providers, the national Learning and Skills Council, colleges, prisons and the National Probation Service.
Our services range from the development and delivery of large-scale corporate learning solutions to information, advice and guidance.
Employer engagement
We broker training and development solutions and help optimise government funding including access to Train to Gain.
Corporate learning solutions
We partner with employers to develop and deliver bespoke e-learning and m-learning solutions designed to help upskill the workforce. We have worked with McDonalds and Sainsbury’s on solutions that support their individual workforce development needs.
National programme delivery
We work with government departments to help shape and deliver national programmes aimed at developing workforce learning and skills. We currently manage and deliver the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) portal, which is designed to support and enhance the teaching of mathematics in England.
Learning and skills resources
We provide a number of multimedia and blended learning resources to support employability. Our leading Target Skills suite of learning resources and our Safe at Work solution offer employers a comprehensive approach to improving basic skills.
We also offer high quality, flexible learning materials which have been designed to create structured learning pathways to achieving nationally-accredited qualifications. Our Advance ‘no limit learning zone’ portal has been designed to meet the wider training and skills challenges facing employers.
Offender learning support
We support prisons with the rehabilitation of inmates though our information, advice and guidance services. We work with prisoners to develop vocational skills to prepare them for their release back into society.
We support this development work with our flexible learning resources and multimedia and blended learning solutions.
Work-based learning support
The management of work-based learner data and other information is supported by our market leading software Maytas. Maytas is used by private training providers and colleges to manage the needs of their work-based learners.
