They are experienced clinical coding auditors and are registered with NHS Connecting for Health.
They apply the criteria for assessing core standards described in the Information Governance Toolkit’s requirement 7302 and follow the NHS CFH Clinical Coding Audit Methodology v3.
Audits are typically conducted by two auditors over three days and are followed up by a comprehensive, written report.
We also offer our clients guidance on how to respond to audit report conclusions.
Key external audit features include:
- compliance with the Data Quality Audit Framework Level 3
- a minimum of 200 episodes
- a detailed client audit report which is peer reviewed by another auditor
- delivery at any UK site
- an audit report copy submitted to NHS Connecting for Health.
