Tribal Foundation supports: Lesotho Disability Project
This project addresses the link between poverty and disability in Lesotho, southern Africa, by improving employment prospects for disabled people. It will benefit nine organisations and over 8,000 people over four and a half years.
The project also aims to bring about major structural change by increasing awareness and developing the capacity of the government and disability groups to enable legislation and policy changes.
Our support is helping to train rehabilitation workers and integrate disabled children into mainstream schools. It will also provide start-up grants for over 40 new businesses run by disabled people.
