We provide strategic consultancy through a range of benchmarking services, both in the UK and internationally. These include Total Financial Benchmarking, Curriculum Benchmarking and Student Experience Benchmarking.
Our services are used by over 352 colleges and universities in the UK and by the New Zealand Tertiary Education Commission (TEC). We also provide services to the Welsh Assembly Government for all colleges in Wales.
On average, colleges and universities that use our Total Financial Benchmarking service can reduce costs by more than 5% each year.
Colleges and universities using our Curriculum Efficiency Review service in 2009 achieved an average of over £300,000 in efficiency savings, through optimised curriculum restructuring.
Total Financial Benchmarking
We provide a financial health-check service that enables organisations to compare internal functions against sector norms and peer-group benchmarks. This independent, function-driven review of income and expenditure can then be used to inform strategic decision making and drive efficiency.
Our financial health-check service enables you to compare your own internal functions with sector norms and peer-group benchmarks. You can then use this independent, function-driven review of income and expenditure in your strategic decision-making and to improve efficiency.
Curriculum benchmarking
We provide you with expert analysis of your current provision in the context of qualification reform and the demand-led funding regime and in terms of meeting government priorities.
This analysis uses an extensive databank of Individualised Learner Record (ILR) information and success data, which can highlight strengths and weaknesses and contribute towards curriculum planning and decision-making.
Value for Money
Tribal’s Value for Money (VFM) tool allows you to analyse the performance of all learning aims and to benchmark these aims against your sector and your targets.
It is an easy-to-use, web-enabled tool, which brings together funding efficiency and success rates and records and monitors VFM, based on your final ILR return.
Student experience benchmarking
Our student experience benchmarking service enables universities to capture students’ customer satisfaction across a wide range of client-selected areas. It is designed to objectively assess everything from academic results and progression through to pastoral support, sports facilities, accommodation and catering, and is then driven through a questionnaire-based benchmarking survey.
