Our community development services help the Government address nationwide social problems including poverty, deprivation and exclusion.
We work with local authorities and national programmes to tackle economic and geographic issues.
We engage with a variety of stakeholders in sensitive and political situations, including local residents, to help community organisations align themselves with local or regional level strategies.
Our significant expertise spans the breath of the Government’s Neighbourhood Renewal Agenda, neighbourhood renewal funds, NDC programmes and neighbourhood management initiatives.
We help to reduce social exclusion and poverty by providing support, delivery and consultancy across the public, private and third sector.
Our services help to:
- develop pathways to employment
- assist new business with start-up to help them mature and promote their services and/or products
- create strong and sustainable communities
- build strong partnerships, which in turn assists the delivery of real solutions.
Our community development services include:
- community capacity building to enhance the use of resources, encouraging sustainability
- grants administration to effectively manage channels of funding
- enterprise and business support to help new businesses throughout their start-up period
- Welfare to Work services to support pre-employment training and relevant qualifications to a variety of individuals, often from socially excluded groups
- offender learning support to ensure offenders have skills for life and fully developed work-based skills
- national programmes such as our appointment by the Office of the Third Sector to manage the three year Goldstar programme for volunteers, which promotes and shares good practice, provides support and commissions the sector to deliver events.
We bring positive change through our services. We use a proactive approach with a strong emphasis on sustainability to nurture start-up businesses.
