Intueri Group to implement single SMS solution across NZ operation
Last updated: 10/07/2018
Intueri Group is New Zealand's only dual-listed vocational education group and comprises 11 schools across New Zealand and Australia. The schools focus on specific vocational education pathways, preparing graduates for rewarding employment opportunities.
With four different student management systems (SMS) across the schools in New Zealand - stretching across a number of different technology platforms including Cloud-hosted, in-house hosted on Microsoft® SQL Server™ and a Microsoft® Access™ based application - becoming more efficient with technology was a key priority.
In May 2016, the Group selected Tribal’s ebs Student Management System as a common SMS across its New Zealand schools.
Intueri Group CEO, Rob Facer, said
Harnessing technology for the benefit of our students and, by extension, our whole organisation, is a critical strategic focus for us and after a comprehensive process we believe Tribal offers an optimum technological solution that we hope will not only over-deliver on our in-house parameters but effectively meet the sector regulatory reporting requirements under which we operate.
The rollout of ebs, starting in July 2016, will first take place at the Information Technology Training Institute (ITTI), with the implementation of Cut Above Academy commencing in August 2016. A project review will then inform the proposed continued rollout of ebs across all Intueri Schools.
Amongst other factors, Intueri Group outlined a need for the single solution to reduce administration costs, to reduce licence costs, to create a common reporting platform with ease of access to data, and automated links to other technology tools that form part of the Group's Information Technology strategy.
Steve Exley, Tribal Group Implementation lead, concludes
We’re thrilled that Intueri Group has chosen ebs as their single SMS solution. We are very much looking forward to commencing the implementation with the team at Intueri and working towards the Group goal of a single SMS.
