Congratulations to Vauxhall Primary School on their achievement of being named ‘Primary School of the Year’ by the Times Educational Supplement (TES) on 24 June 2016.
As a school that has held a Basic Skills Primary Quality Mark (PQM) award since 2013, and which has recently gone through a successful 2nd award renewal assessment, Tribal, who is responsible for the Quality Mark programme nationally, is delighted to see the school’s work in literacy and numeracy was amongst those aspects that were particularly recognised by the judging panel as being outstanding.
Tribal is particularly proud to see that three out of the eight shortlisted primary schools were PQM award holders - including that of the TES awarded Head Teacher of the Year.
Sue Nicholson, National Director for Quality Mark said,
It’s so important for schools and early years to support basic skills improvement tools, it’s the bedrock for achieving success at school and in adult and working lives. The awards are a testimony to the evident success in supporting basic skills within a challenging context.
