University of the Arts London set to transform the student journey

Last updated: 09/07/2018

In October 2016, the University of the Arts London (UAL) awarded Tribal Group plc a contract for the design, installation and implementation of the higher education student management system, SITS:Vision.

Earlier in the year, UAL invited bids for a replacement student system as their existing student records system was approaching the end of its useful life and senior managers at the University recognised an opportunity for a replacement project to improve significantly the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall student journey.

UAL defined an ambitious scope for the replacement system covering the full student journey from admissions through to graduation and alumni relations – with full integration with other systems used by the institution, offering staff a seamless user experience.

The improvement project called the ‘Next Generation Student System’ (NGSS) Programme, will focus on the integration of data from current systems, working with existing processes to ensure a hassle free transition to the new best of breed platform.

Speaking on behalf of Tribal, Daniel Barrass, Marketing Business Partner said,

“We’re thrilled to be working with UAL on this transformative project. This is a world renowned university and a truly world-class place of learning. We’re proud to be able to support them in nurturing some of the world’s most creative professionals.”

University of the Arts London is in the top five universities in the world for art and design and offers over 100 courses in the creative industries. Over half of all Turner Prize winners and nominees in the 30 years since its inception are UAL alumni.
