Early Years Inspection Skills Training

Tribal's Inspection Skills Training is a highly respected and well-established course for school leaders who want to make a positive difference to the outcomes for children.

Who should attend
This intensive course is for:

  • Leaders working in a wide variety of education settings who have responsibility for EY provision, including Principals, those line managing or overseeing EY provision, and EY leaders and managers EY practitioners
    Consultants and professionals working in the EY sector, including those supporting schools to evaluate and improve their EY provision.

Throughout the course, participants can expect to obtain the following from our professional tutors:

  • Develop participants’ understanding and knowledge of evaluation and inspection of EY provision, particularly in the UAE context.

  • Understand the context and rationale for the current focus on the inspection and evaluation of EY provision in the UAE.

  • Build skills of evaluation, focusing on the contribution of leadership, curriculum, teaching and assessment to children’s learning and development. 

  • Develop an understanding of the features of high-quality provision in EY.

  • Develop the skills and competencies of a high-quality inspector, and to further participants’ experience as leaders and/or effective reviewers of EY provision and outcomes.

When
The course runs for 4 days, and all training days run 09:00 – 17:00 daily, UAE time

There will be four sessions per day and each one will run for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes over the four days of training. All sessions will be delivered online using the Microsoft Teams platform. (You do not need a Microsoft Teams licence to participate.) 

Learning Objectives
The training aims to provide participants with the knowledge, understanding, skills and competencies required to make robust evaluations and inspect effectively in schools. Throughout the course, participants can expect to obtain the following from our professional tutors:

  • Develop participants’ understanding and knowledge of evaluation and inspection of EY provision, particularly in the UAE context.

Your Trainer

Asma Hafeez is an experienced School Inspector and School Improvement Adviser. She has supported schools in the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to improve the quality of teaching and learning to raise standards. She has held senior positions in UK primary schools and taught across the age ranges from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to upper primary. Her subject specialism is English, and she is an Early Childhood expert – she has considerable experience and knowledge of the UK EYFS and international early childhood curricula.

Asma worked for the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) as a School Evaluator and inspected English and Early childhood across different curricula including but not limited to UK, American, Indian and MoE. She successfully transferred her skills and knowledge to conduct different types of inspections which include Distance Learning evaluations and E-Safety evaluations across the northern emirates for MoE private and government schools.

As an experienced trainer and facilitator, Asma delivers high quality professional development training for the early childhood sector and is currently delivering an accredited training program for early years senior and middle leaders to develop their leadership skills to achieve the DfE National Professional Qualification for Early Years Leaders.
