Our new DMS Advisory Service offers comprehensive funding and compliance support for Maytas customers to complement and strengthen their internal capabilities.
Our expert DMS advisors work with you to create bespoke support packages to meet your requirements and challenges.
Your annual advisory package can include a mix of structured training, self-assessment reviews, operational data support and critical activity support.
MAYTAS USER - NEW USER/ILR REFRESHER TRAINING
Session one will cover adding new starters; compliance and best practice; ILR submission; using your Apprenticeship Service account and locating changes to funding rules for the new academic year.
Session two will cover breaks in learning; changes of circumstance; withdrawal; completion or part-completion.
Training can be used flexibly for either annual changes to funding rules, and/or new starters.
ESFA SPECIFIC TRAINING - FINANCIAL ASSURANCE
Get an overview of the ESFA financial assurance audit process including;
- What to expect, how to prepare, what is in scope.
- What data tools auditors will use.
- Common errors.
- What processes and controls auditors will look for.
- Preparing responses for the auditor and post-audit activity.
DATA SELF-ASSESSMENT TOOL (PDSAT) REVIEW
Your DMS Advisory Service package can also include a comprehensive review of your PDSAT report for R13 claim period.
Our team, can provide you with a line-by-line review of all errors, warnings and recommendations on how to correct or mitigate these, plus any other ILR data issues which you may be experiencing.
Following the review we provide a summary of recommendations and actions to facilitate an error-free R14 submission.
OPERATIONAL
DATA SUPPORT SESSIONS
Your DMS Advisory Service package can include two, three-hour remote data support sessions per year.
These sessions can be accessed on an ad-hoc basis to review and resolve any data, compliance or funding issues you may come across.
These sessions can cover: PDSAT report, ILR file and more...
At the end of the sessions, we will provide you with a summary of recommendations and actions for you to complete to help resolve the issues and/or improve your processes to avoid future issues.
FLEXIBLE SUPPORT FOR CRITICAL ACTIVITY
We understand that the challenges you face may change throughout the year, so our support for critical activity package can be used flexibly in the way which benefits you the most.
Financial Assurance Audit Support
Receive actionable advice on the preparation of audit responses during the audit and follow-up review of data to be corrected based on the audit findings.
ESFA Subcontracting Standard Assurance Support
Get expert advice on preparing processes and controls for compliance with the ESFA Subcontracting Standard, and on completing the Subcontracting standard self-assessment.
Apprenticeship Accountability Framework Support
Enhance your understanding - and where possible - improve your Apprenticeship accountability framework indicators with our flexible support. Plus, if you are subject to a DFE management conversation, we'll give you advice on preparation and evidence gathering.

Carla Martinho
Head of Data Management
Carla has a wide range of experience over 16+ years of working at a training provider, as a consultant to the Education and Skills Funding Agency and supporting training providers and employer providers to develop and deliver their apprenticeships programmes.
Her specialism is in apprenticeship governance and quality, as well as helping providers to negotiate the complex apprenticeship regulatory landscape of audits, subcontracting and the accountability framework.
She sees her current role as enabling our customers to deliver a high-quality learner experience and the data management team to deliver a high-quality service to our customers.
Matthew Butson
Lead Reporting & Funding Advisor
With 15+ years of experience supporting Tribal customers with their data, Matt loves creating reporting tools that provide insight and solve a customer’s problems – often problems they haven’t yet identified.
Matt really enjoys the challenge of a complex and difficult issue, using his advanced reporting skills and deep funding knowledge to find an answer.
His key driver is customer satisfaction, across adult learning, apprenticeships, and devolved funding; supporting providers so they can focus on delivering a high- quality learning experience that changes lives.
Marie Hardy
Senior MIS Advisor
Having worked at a further education college for many years Marie has knowledge of a wide variety of funding streams including apprenticeships and adult learning. She is the lead advisor for a number of customers including apprenticeship providers.
In her current role Marie has worked with our customers to help them deal with challenges over and above routine planned activity such as ESFA funding assurance audit and transferring cohorts of apprentices from another training provider mid-programme.
Emilia Skora
Senior MIS Advisor
Emilia is an expert in apprenticeships data and ILR submission, including resolving complex apprenticeship service account issues that can stop funding flow. She’s a wizard with audit-compliant processes and during her 11+ years at Tribal has managed data from the perspective of the main provider, employer providers and employers.
As a qualified trainer, Emilia delivers a suite of training on data submission and management processes including bite-sized sessions and session tailored to help provider teams to build-in compliance.
