North East Scotland College (NESCol) has become the first Scottish college to go live with Tribal EBS—marking a major milestone in digital transformation for the Scottish education sector.
After months of focused preparation and collaboration, NESCol has successfully transitioned away from their previous MIS to the fully integrated Tribal EBS student management system. This achievement not only reflects the college’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence, but also earned them the title of FE Project of the Year at our recent Empower Conference—before even reaching their official go-live date.
The project’s success is rooted in NESCol’s clear vision and strong internal engagement. From early access to critical application and enrolment pathways, to a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement, the college has demonstrated what’s possible when change is embraced with purpose and precision.
By consolidating systems, adopting Tribal’s tried and tested best practices, and enhancing data quality and forecasting, NESCol is laying the foundation for a smarter, more connected future. Their journey sets a powerful example for other institutions looking to modernise their student management system and improve the learner experience.
