University of Exeter, a Tribal customer for over 20 years, has moved its Student Information System (SITS) to be run by Tribal “as-a-Service” from the cloud.

University of Exeter has signed up to a five-year agreement to move SITS to Tribal’s Cloud.

With 30,000 students from 130 countries, the University of Exeter seeks to use the power of its education and research to create a sustainable, healthy and socially just future. It does this by developing critical, creative and empowered people through its educational programmes and by creating knowledge, making discoveries and providing solutions through its research.

Always among the leaders for student satisfaction in the NSS, student service is at the centre of its strategy. Migration to Tribal’s SITS Cloud service will enable the university to focus on innovation and the student experience, modernise interfaces into SITS, reduce CO2 footprint by up to 95%, and help improve protection from security threats through certification to ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.

“SITS Cloud will be a powerful digital enabler and foundational step to transforming experiences for students and staff at Exeter as part of Strategy 2030.”

Nathan Burden, Director of IT Services
